As the "United Nations of the Jewelry Industry", CIBJO represents the interests of all individuals, organizations and companies around the world that depend on jewelry, precious stones and precious metals for a living. It is the oldest international organization in the jewelry industry. It was originally founded in 1926, and has the status of representing the international jewelry industry in the United Nations. For the moment, the membership of CIBJO is mainly composed of national jewelry trade organizations from more than 40 countries around the world, covering the entire vertical jewelry, gem and precious metal industry from mining to the market, and every component of various production areas, manufacturing and trading center. Most of the leading companies and service providers in the international jewelry industry are also affiliated with CIBJO through business membership.
