The China Secretariat of the ASEAN Gems and Jewellery Trade Association was established, and will participate in the 7th CIIE Jewellry Hall exhibition

On February 23, the ASEAN Gems and Jewellery Industry: Cooperating for Sustainable Success activity was held in Bangkok. At the conference, the ASEAN Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (AGJA) signed a memorandum of cooperation with the China Gems & Jade Exchange (CGE), which will provide relevant services for AGJA members to carry out business activities in China. Simultaneously, the establishment of the China Secretariat of AGJA was announced, and members will be organized to participate in the exhibition of Jewellry Hall of the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE).

Mr. Suttipong Damrongsakul, President of AGJA, stated that the association was established through cooperation among gems and jewellry trade associations in the ASEAN region. Currently, AGJA has over 100 members, including both local and international gem and jewellry operators.

CGE has operated the CIIE Jewellry Hall for six consecutive years. This time, AGJA has been invited to participate in the 7th CIIE Jewellry Hall exhibition. It is expected that AGJA members will expand their business in the Chinese market and seek new opportunities through the CIIE platform.

In 2024, AGJA aims to increase its membership by 300 members with the intention of establishing a network that actively seeks new trade opportunities advantageous to its members, expands its business, and extends markets to various countries through a robust partner network to promote strong and sustainable growth in the industry.
