The Chinese national standard "Jewelry and Jade Traceability System Service Specification" (hereinafter referred to as "Traceability National Standard") has been officially implemented since December 1, 2023. This national standard for the service category is not only the first in China's jewelry industry, but also has extremely important significance in solving the contradiction of information asymmetry in various links of the jewelry supply chain and promoting the healthy development of the industry chain.

In October 2023, the State Council issued a reply on the plan to establish an "E-commerce Silk Road" cooperation pilot zone in Shanghai (State Letter [2023] No. 115), agreeing to carry out the work of establishing an "E-commerce Silk Road" cooperation pilot zone in Shanghai.

In response to the establishment of the "E-commerce Silk Road" cooperation pilot zone, the application and promotion of digital technology in "E-commerce Silk Road" will be carried out, as well as the pilot work on the traceability of imported gemstone products.

CGE took the lead in piloting the application of Traceability National Standard in the operation and service of the Diamond and Gem Pavilion at the 6th CIIE. The exhibitors of the Diamond and Gem Pavilion have become the first practitioners of Traceability National Standard. Exhibitors have followed the operational norms of Traceability National Standard and carried out the full process of tracing information for the exhibits in the Diamond and Gem Pavilion, including product information, logistics information, customs clearance information, exhibitor information, appraisal information, and certification information. The relevant tracing information can be queried through the "APAC Gemstone Traceability Service Platform".

The APAC Gemstone Traceability Service Platform is the result of the cooperation between CGE and E&P International, which is a pioneer in the field of logistics informatization at domestic ports, under the APAC Gemstone Traceability Innovation Service Demonstration Association. It is also an important part of the "Pujiang Digital Chain", a blockchain infrastructure project, and an important measure for Shanghai to promote innovative development of the blockchain industry, empower urban function enhancement, and seize the initiative of future development. Through intensive and balanced construction, aim to drive the formation of cross-domain platform connectivity, multi chain heterogeneous interoperability, real-time application on chain, and ecological collaborative development.
