On November 10th, as one of the concurrent event of the 6th CIIE, the International Jewelry Summit 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the "Summit") was held in Shanghai. This summit is jointly hosted by Donghao Lansheng Group, NGTC, GAC, Shanghai Diamond Exchange, and CGE, and co-hosted by Shanghai E&P International. Xiao Guiyu, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Deputy Secretary of the Party, attended the summit and delivered a speech.

The International Jewelry Summit 2023, with the theme of "Technology Leading, Digital Empowerment", focused on seizing opportunities for digital, networked, and intelligent development, exploring new formats, technologies, and models in the jewelry industry, exploring new growth drivers and development paths, and helping the jewelry industry achieve leapfrog development. In order to better serve the exhibitors of the CIIE, CGE responds to the call of the country to strengthen digital construction and continuously improves the digital level of its own platform. During the summit, CGE officially listed the first gemstone digital product - Gemstone Traceability Node Information Query Service on the Shanghai Data Exchange. The listing and launch of this product took an important step in the upgrading and innovation of the gemstone industry and the circulation of digital assets. It will effectively consolidate the foundation of digital asset circulation in the gemstone industry, accelerate the improvement of the digital economy, and empower the development of the real economy.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road". As the world's largest consumer of gemstones, China has imported nearly 90% of total gemstone resources into the Chinese market, with a high proportion of countries covered by the "the Belt and Road". At this summit, CGE along with representatives from E&P International, Colombia Representative in China, as well as representatives from AGJA, Malaysia Goldsmiths Association, HONG KONG JEWELLERY & JADE MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION, GJEPC from India, and South African enterprises, jointly initiated the establishment of the "Asia Pacific Gemstone Traceability Innovation Service Demonstration Consortium". Leveraging the advantages of the international cooperation mechanism of the APAC demonstration electronic port network, big data and new technologies such as blockchain will open up the "point-to-point" full data channel of the whole industrial chain of gemstones, help consumers to realize the accurate query of the whole process of gemstones from overseas mineral sources to domestic imports, promote the high-quality development of gemstones in the "the Belt and Road", inject new momentum into the growth of the world economy, open up new space for global development, and create a new platform for innovative cooperation in international gemstone trade.

We believe that in the future, as all parties work together to strengthen the connectivity of digital infrastructure, promote the construction of the Digital Silk Road, strengthen innovation cooperation in cutting-edge fields of science and technology, and promote deep integration of technology and the jewelry industry, it will undoubtedly inject strong impetus into the common development of China and even the global jewelry industry.
