The 5th CIIE was held on November 5th as scheduled. Over the past five years, the CIIE has become a window for China to build a new development pattern, a platform to promote high-level openness, and an international public product shared globally. China is willing to work with other countries to practice genuine multilateralism, gather more consensus on opening up, jointly overcome the difficulties and challenges faced by global economic development, and let opening up bring new prospects for global development!

The Diamond and Gem Pavilion of the 5th CIIE (6.1H-C Zone), covered an area of 8000m2 of the exhibition hall.More than 100 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions participated in the exhibition.The exhibits in the Diamond and Gem Pavilion included color gemstones, jades, organic gemstones and diamonds, worth 200 million dollars. It is believed that it will gradually become one of the most popular pavilions in the Expo.

This year, for the first time, the proportion of raw space used in the Diamond and Gem Pavilion was around 90%. The personalized booth construction showed the characteristics of different regions and brands such as Yong Tai Jewellery from Thailand, TACHÉ from Belgium, and the Sri Lankan gem group. On the first day of the CIIE, The Diamond and Gem Pavilion received Peng Huagang, Secretary General of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Ma Lu, Vice Chairman of the China Federation of Trade Unions, Dr. Palitha T.B. Kohona, Ambassador of Sri Lanka and other domestic and foreign guests.
